SPARTA - Sheila Kay (Woodworth) Heineck, 80, of Sparta died Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse. She was born on June 25, 1944 in Sparta, WI to Donald and Mary (Standiford) Woodworth.
Sheila had a lifelong love of singing and was the lead in several productions in high school which is where she met Stephen.
Sheila married Stephen Franklin Heineck on June 9, 1963 in Sparta, WI. They were married 55 years.
While raising her family, she loved all things Disney, to craft, sing, paint and draw. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved spending time with friends and family and traveling.
In later years she bravely battled and won her fight with breast cancer, enjoyed spending time with her family, going out to eat, watching Hallmark movies and reading her beloved Barbara Cartland books.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Heineck of Chanhassen, MN, Wendy (George) Parden of Long Beach, CA, Christopher Heineck of Sparta, WI and Jennifer (Steve) Choukalas of Robbinsdale, MN; ten grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and one brother, DeWitt (Woody) Woodworth.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; husband; eight sisters; and four brothers.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Club Oasis, in Sparta.
