SPARTA- Vicki Lynn Plein, 70 of Sparta, WI, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2023, at Rolling Hills in Sparta. Vicki was born June 7, 1953, to Paul and Olive (Haugen) Koessler. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Cashton High School.
Vicki married her best friend, Royce “Roy” Plein and together they had two children. She spent many years working at the Morrow Home, where she was the sunshine in many of the residents’ lives when she came in to help tidy up their rooms.
Vicki will be remembered for her kind and caring heart. She always had a positive attitude and looked on the bright side of life. She was always looking to make you laugh. Her infectious giggles and laughter were contagious, and she will be missed by all who knew her.
Vicki is survived by her husband Royce; daughter, Melissa (Tim) Arnold; grandchildren, Mikayla, and Turner Arnold; sisters, Shirley (Mike) Nelson and Debra (Paul Koessler-Wieman; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Olive Koessler; a son, Todd Mancl; and her sister, Jean Koessler.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home, 1132 Angelo Road, Sparta, WI. Pastor Bob Streeter will officiate. Family and friends are invited for visitation Saturday, June 1, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
