SPARTA- It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rose Swenson, age 63. She passed away at home on June 8, 2024. She was born on February 9, 1961, in La Crosse, WI, and grew up in Bangor. On June 25, 1983, she married the love of her life, Ronnie Swenson. Together they raised their family in Sparta, WI. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Rose is survived by her husband, Ron and their children: Kristin Lopez, Wendy Swenson, Brian (Kendra) Swenson and Rachel (Cuper) Swenson; grandchildren: Ivan, Antonio, Valeria, Jose, Tyler, Brianna, Rozlyn, Mariana, Kiana, Francisco, and Braylea; and great granddaughters: Alaini and one to be born in August. In addition, Rose is survived by her brothers, Richard (Aileen and former spouse Helen) and Dan (Connie) Howe; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rose had a special place in her heart for her dogs who brought her joy and companionship throughout the years. She loved them dearly and considered them part of her family. Oftentimes, her children joked that she loved their fur-siblings more than she loved them!

Rose was a factory worker for many years before becoming a Wal-Mart associate where she will be remembered for her days as a door greeter and cashier where she created many friendships with coworkers and customers.

In her free time, Rose enjoyed spending time with her dog, Patches, and her children and grandchildren. Rose had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her selflessness and kindness touched the lives of many. Rose will be remembered for her kind heart and warm smile. She will be dearly missed by many.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Delores Howe; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harland Sr and Joyce Swenson; and brothers-in-law, Jeff and Paul Swenson.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the Fredrickson Funeral Home in Bangor on Thursday from 4-7pm and Friday from 10-11am. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday and will be followed by a graveside burial at the Fairview Cemetery in Bangor, WI where Rose will be laid to rest.

Rest in peace, dear Rose. You will forever be in our hearts and memories. We love you!
