Robert Kenneth “Ken/Bob” Anderson Jr., a loving, thoughtful, and kind soul, passed away on June 28, 2024, at the age of 74 in Rochester, MN. He was born May 7, 1950, to Robert Sr. and Helen (Hart) Anderson.

Ken was a 1968 graduate of Tomah High School. Following high school, he answered the call of duty and served with honor in the United States Navy. His time in the service was a testament to his commitment to his country and laid a foundation for his strong character. He was united in marriage Judy Ferris on July 3, 1970. Together they shared almost 54 years of marriage.

After his military service, Ken embarked on a career with Toro, where he not only applied his skills but also formed lasting friendships and associations. His work ethic and affable nature made him a respected colleague and a mentor to many.

Ken’s interests and hobbies painted the picture of a man who cherished the simple pleasures of life. An avid outdoorsman, he found solace and joy in hunting, fishing, and camping. Whether it was cooking over campfires or grilling, Ken was a maestro of outdoor cuisine, and his culinary adventures remained a favorite pastime throughout his life.

Bowling was another of Ken’s cherished activities, and he could often be found at the lanes, sharing laughs and friendly competition. But it was the time spent playing euchre with his grandchildren that truly lit up his world. These moments of joy and camaraderie with his beloved grandkids captured the essence of Ken’s love for his family.

Ken’s love for his family was indeed the cornerstone of his life. He was a rock, a guiding light, and his thoughtful and kind nature was a source of comfort and strength. His family knew they were loved more than anything, and that love was Ken’s greatest legacy.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, his children, Patti (Mitch) Lenski, Bobbi (fiancé, Corey Lattion) Scholze, Debbi Anderson and Charlie (fiancé, Amber Moseley) Anderson, grandchildren, Kyle (Kaylee) Lenski, Sydni (Denver) Green, Zander Toczynski, Kaden Raabe, Trent Scholze, Donaven Frantzen, Alayna Scholze and Kayci Lattion, bonus grandkids, Cassandra Scholze, Levi Swenson, HarLeigh Moseley, Devon Parker, Jayden Parker, Natalie Watts, great grandchildren, Spencer and Wyatt Lenski, sisters, Dianne Wildes and Nancy (Dave) Thompson, sisters-in-law, Patty Schiferl and Kathy (Scott) Berg, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen, his brother, Dick Anderson, brothers-in-law, Allan Wildes and Scott Ferris, and nephew, Rick Thompson Knutson.
