Kent N. McNamar, age 79, of Tomah, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Kent was born on February 3, 1947, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, to Norman and Marion (Christensen) McNamar. During his younger years, he was active in Boy Scouts and proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Even after retirement, Kent continued to share his knowledge and experience, filling in when needed in school districts throughout the surrounding communities.
Outside of his career, Kent enjoyed spending time outdoors. During the summer months, he took great pride in mowing and maintaining lawns. He was particular about his work and liked keeping things just right. When winter arrived, he could often be found enjoying one of his favorite pastimes, ice fishing.
