Alleged hanging in Tomah Walmart

Patient flown by med-flight to La Crosse

Around 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning, a page came into the Tomah Ambulance Department page to Tomah Walmart. Dispatch stated, “apparently a customer hung themselves in the store.”

Tomah Police put a press release on Facebook at 1:15p.m Thursday stating, Today, at approximately 8:30AM, Tomah Police Officers and emergency medical responders were dispatched to Walmart (222 W. McCoy Blvd.) for a medical emergency.

The patient was found to be pulseless and non-breathing. Paramedics were able to regain a pulse and transported the patient to Tomah Health. The patient was then flown to Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse.

Tomah Police Chief Scott Holum said, “I realize there are rumors on the internet going around but we will not be releasing further information at this time.”
