TOMAH- Mark A. Kenworthy, age 65, of Tomah, Wisconsin, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, surrounded by his family at home after a short battle with brain cancer. He was born January 26, 1959, to Hugh and Irene (Durand) Kenworthy in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Mark was united in marriage to Susan Honish on August 9, 1980.  He was a devoted husband to Susan and a dedicated father to his children Gregory, James, Daniel, and Ashley. His family was his pride and joy, he was their steadfast rock and was always there for them.

Mark’s life was changed when he was born again in 1985.  He was a faithful servant, involved in his church, always ready to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement. He enjoyed preaching, teaching Sunday school, and studying the Bible. In his 50’s he received a four-year BA degree in Bible from Dayspring Bible College located in Lake Zurich, Illinois.

Mark was the respected owner and operator of Steam-A-Way Cleaning Company, a business that not only served the surrounding communities since 1980, but also embodied his strong work ethic and dedication to service. Mark’s hands-on approach and reliability made him a trusted figure among his clients and colleagues. He also had a passion for farming which was evident to all who knew him, as he tirelessly worked the land with a sense of purpose and pride.

Beyond the fields and his business, Mark soared to great heights as an accomplished pilot. With the same meticulous care he applied to all aspects of his life, he proudly built the RV-9A that he currently flew.  Mark also enjoyed fishing with friends and family. His memory will live on in the fields he farmed, the businesses he built, the love he shared with his family, and most importantly serving his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, his children, Gregory (Alethia) Kenworthy, James (Drew) Kenworthy, Daniel Kenworthy and Ashley (Craig) Eckelberg, grandchildren, Barrett and Adrian Kenworthy, Brielle, Violet, Callie and Patrick Kenworthy and Oakleigh Eckelberg, siblings, Hugh (Debra) Kenworthy III, Bobby (Pauline) Kenworthy, Diane (Dan) Davis, Nathan (Kathleen) Kenworthy, John (Christine) Kenworthy, Jessica (Brad) Kortbein, Kathryn (Steve) Pierce, Mary Beth (Jesse Straubhaar) Kenworthy and David (Carrie) Kenworthy, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Irene and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sylvester and Catherine Honish.
