Louise Ann Nachtigal, 91, of Yuba died Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at Pine Valley Community Village. She was born on January 10, 1935 in Snow Valley the daughter of James and Rena (Snorek) Spencer. On February 20, 1952 Louise was united in marriage to Carl Nachtigal. She worked at O’Bryan Brothers and Schmitt Woodland Hills as a cook. Louise enjoyed baking, gardening, and the Packers. She loved dogs, especially Butchie.
Louise is survived by three children, Richard (Debra) Nachtigal, Deborah (Randy) Kjome, John Nachtigal; 7 grandchildren, Anne (David) Fenniskoh, April (Robert) Senn, Mandy (Mike) Metropolis, Gary (Windee) Hubbard, Kyle (Sarah) Kjome, Scott (Tammie) Nachtigal, Laurie Degner; many many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: James, Robert, Ruth Ann, Marilyn, Sue, Kathy, Karen; sister-in-law: Lillian Hatfield; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents James and Rena, husband Carl, and sisters: Shirley, Velma Jean, Marie, and Janie.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center. Burial followed in the Czech National Cemetery. Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at the Pratt Memorial Chapel from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM and again on Monday, September 14, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. The Pratt Funeral Service of Richland Center is assisting the family with their arrangements.
