LouAnn F. Niebuhr, 86, of Tomah, was welcomed with open arms by her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 28, 2026, after a brief stay at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

On July 12, 1940, LouAnn was born to Harry and Etta (Bernhardt) Pasch in Sparta, Wisconsin. She was a member of Wilton’s High School’s graduating class of 1958. LouAnn would soon marry Ben Rose, settle in Tomah and have two children. Shortly after, she started her waitressing career and most notably worked for Burnstad’s European Restaurant, The Carlton, and Ed Thompson’s TeePee Supper Club, all of Tomah. As a natural social butterfly, she found immense joy in the daily conversations she shared with her customers and was sure to greet each and every one with a bright smile. Later in life she married Bob Niebuhr and gained a large “bonus” family. As a longtime congregant of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, LouAnn’s faith was incredibly important to her and something in which she found great comfort in. She was a proud member of the Gloria Dei Miriam Circle and delighted in ministering for the Tomah Nursing and Rehab Center and Touch of Home Assisted Living.  In her spare time, LouAnn could often be found designing and creating her infamous greeting cards, of which she’d go on to make thousands; dancing whenever the opportunity presented itself; traveling to see family and friends; decorating her home for each and every season; and making her cherished daily phone calls to beloved family and friends. Known for her flair and impeccable sense of fashion, she found great pleasure in styling her outfits, dressing elegantly no matter the occasion, and pairing each outfit with complementing jewelry pieces, purse and shoes from her perfectly curated collections. Being the caring and considerate person, she was, LouAnn always put others’ needs ahead of her own and was quick to lend a helping hand or share her belongings with someone in need. She will be deeply missed all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

LouAnn is survived by her children Sheila Miller (Jules) and Alvin Rose (Terrie); grandchildren Craig Wilkinson, Ryan Wilkinson, Cameron Rose and Kelley Nicole Rose; five great- grandchildren; many “bonus” family members including three stepchildren and their spouses, 16 step-grandchildren and 35 step great-grandchildren.

LouAnn is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Etta (Bernhardt) Pasch, her husband Bob Niebuhr, her former husband Ben Rose; stepson, step daughter-in-law, three step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Churh, 310 W Elizabeth Street, in Tomah, followed by a private funeral committal at Oak Gove Cemetery.
