CATARACT - John “Jack” V. Evans, 58, of Cataract, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Morrow Home, in Sparta. He was born on January 22, 1966 to Lyle and Bonnie (Koehler) Evans, in Sparta.
Jack grew up in Cataract, Wisconsin, and graduated from Sparta High School. He had a deep love for his hometown and spent 21 years as the custodian and bus driver at Cataract Elementary School before working for 10 years at Regal in Black River Falls.
Jack cherished outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his siblings: Steve (Mary) Evans, Wayne (Laurie) Evans, David (Colleen) West, Shelly (Junior) Steinhoff, Kevin (Debbie) West, Tim (Susie) West; nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Bonnie Evans, and his twin sister, Jill Evans.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2024 at Cataract Methodist Church in Cataract, with Reverend Loretta Waughtal officiating. Burial will be in Cataract Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday, at the church. Friends and Family are invited to the Cataract Sportsman’s Club following services.
