TOMAH- Henrietta Mae (Rogge) Niebuhr died peacefully at the Serenity House in Tomah, Wisconsin on May 13, 2024 at the age of 85. Henrietta is survived by her children, Mark (Beverly) Niebuhr of Tomah, Vicki (Gregory) Parish of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, Clint (Linda) Niebuhr of Tomah, daughter-in-law, Sheila Niebuhr Guenther of Tomah, brother, Robert Rogge of Camp Douglas, 2sisters, Kay Fox of Tomah, and Rhonda (William) Phillips of Tomah.

Henrietta was born on July 7th, 1938 to Forrest and Violet (Ludeking) Rogge on the home farm in Indian Creek and baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomah. She attended a one room school in Oakdale for 7 years, 1 year at St. Paul Lutheran School, and graduated after 4 years at Tomah Senior High in 1956. Henrietta was united in marriage to Robert Niebuhr in 1958. She was blessed with four children: Mark, Craig, Vicki and Clint. Over the course of her life, she held various job roles, ultimately establishing a career at Northern Engraving in Sparta, where she later retired in 2003.

Henrietta became affectionately known as “Grandma Hank” by her 14 grandchildren and later her 27 great-grandchildren. Her family was her life and often her home was filled with grandchildren and later great grandchildren where memories were made and cherished. She enjoyed camping trips, get-togethers, and holidays. She loved to travel and would always play cards any chance she would get.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving son, Craig Niebuhr, grandchildren, Amy and Brian Steele, great granddaughter Hailey Jensen, a sister Bernita Rogge, a nephew Andrew Phillips, her grandparents, Louis and Alma Ludeking, William and Henrietta Rogge, sister-in-law, Evelyn Rogge, and a brother-in-law, Lenny Fox.

A celebration of Henrietta’s life will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 3:30 PM until 5:30 PM at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in the Fellowship Hall. 525 Superior Ave. Online condolences may be sent to www.sonnenburgfamilyfh.com
