   SPARTA - Harland “Harley” R. Creviston, 85 of Sparta and formerly of Wilton, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Rolling Hills Senior Living, Sparta.  He was born on November 22, 1937, to Earl and Malzena (Heinze) Creviston in Monroe County, WI. Harley was a member of the Wilton High School Graduating Class of 1955.  He proudly served his country as a of member of the United States Army and the United States Army Reserves.  On May 23, 1964, he was united in marriage to Patricia I. Holtet in Wilton.  She preceded him in death on January 22, 2000.  Harland worked hauling eggs for Tillman’s Product, as a Watkins sales representative and later for the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center Tomah as a certified nursing assistant, retiring after 20 plus years.

   Harley was an avid coon hunter and Wisconsin Sports fan, and he could easily be spotted with one of his many Wisconsin hats or T-shirts, rooting for his favorite team.   More than anything Harley loved spending time with his family.  He looked forward to the weekend visits with his grandchildren and great grandchildren which brought so much joy to his life.  He had a special bond with each of them especially his namesake, great granddaughter, Harley. The moments they shared will be precious cherished memories. Before moving to rolling hills, Harley enjoyed his time with several in-home caretakers. Especially family friend and neighbor, Amy Kinnunen, who treated him like family.

   He is survived by his children, Daniel of Wilton, Debra (Peter) Kantner of Nampa, Idaho, Diana (David) Schmitz of Sparta, and Kimberly Creviston of Elroy, grandchildren, Daniel Creviston, Summer Lange, Collen Kantner, Tyler, Kyle, Zach, Al (significant other, Abbie) Schmitz, Branden (Taylor) and Callie Fleming, many great grandchildren, sisters, Linda Burkhalter and Molly Goef, sisters-in-law, Marlene “Molly” Flock, Donna Sykora and Cindy (Dale) Preuss, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

   He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, siblings, Kenny, Jim, Gary, Lila, Lola, Karen and Bonnie, along with several brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

   A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, 2:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 401 Mill Street, Wilton.  Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.  Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Saturday at the church from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service.  Smith-Nelson Funeral Home, Wilton is assisting the family with arrangements.
