Doris M. Calhoun, 93, of Pewaukee, formerly Onalaska, was born into eternal life on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Legacy Assisted Living Center in Pewaukee.  She was born October 12, 1930, to William and Leelah (Bickel) Carr in Valley WI.  She was a member of the Hillsboro High School Graduating Class of 1948.    Doris was united in marriage to Donald Calhoun on June 14, 1952, in Valley Wisconsin.  He preceded her in death on October 27, 2008.  Doris was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering for the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers.  She was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time, taking walks and putting puzzles together.  Doris and Don spent numerous winters as snowbirds in Destin, FL, after Don’s retirement.  She was a member of the Onalaska United Methodist Church and the Red Hat’s Society.  She enjoyed spending time going to her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Greg (Brenda) Calhoun of Waukesha, 2 grandchildren, Amy (Andrew) Wintheiser, and Kyle (Amanda) Calhoun, a great-grand daughter Savanna all of Pewaukee, she is further survived by brother-in-law William (Dee) Calhoun, a sister-in-law Lorraine Calhoun, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Buford, Mack, Keith, Larry and Kenneth Carr, brother-in-law Wayne Calhoun and sister-in-law Jeanette Berg.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, 11:00 A.M. the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St. Tomah.  Pastor Deede will officiate.  Burial will be at the Hilltop Cemetery.
