As the 2021-22 regular season trudges toward the finish line and the playoffs grow closer, the Brookwood girls’ basketball team is struggling to find another win.
The Falcons (3-20 overall, 1-12 Scenic Bluffs) have now dropped 10 straight games following a 64-28 loss to the Wonewoc-Center Wolves (10-7, 8-5) in Scenic Bluffs play Thursday, February 10 in Wonewoc.
Previously, the Wolves beat Brookwood 50-32 in their first meeting of the year back on January 7 in Ontario.
In Thursday night’s matchup, Wonewoc-Center sophomore guard Kelsey Justman tallied a game-high 22 points and senior guard Shelby Justman tacked on 16 points in the win.
As for the Falcons, sophomore guard Vanessa Anderson led the way with 9 points and junior forward Cora Brandau chipped in 5 points.
Brookwood will finish off the regular season by welcoming in the Royall Panthers (14-7, 9-4) Tuesday, February 15 at 7 p.m. in Ontario. Royall got the better of the Falcons in a 78-27 victory when they squared off January 13 in Elroy.
