Winter Makers Market to be held at Justin Trails Resort

Posted

The Justin Trails Winter Makers Market will be held on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., starting on January 18th, and then February 15th and March 15th at Justin Trails Resort, 8 miles south of Sparta, Wisconsin. The market is free of charge and is open to everyone.

Enjoy breakfast or coffee in The Lodge, at Justin Trails Resort, before shopping. Lunch options will be available at the market.

The Justin Trails Winter Makers Market offers a great selection of locally made items that embrace the bounty of our beautiful Driftless Region. The market will be inside the easily accessible century-old Elegant Barn, on the first floor, called The Studio. The Studio is a gorgeous, heated space, with wood-wrapped walls, a fireplace, and two bathrooms. It can be rented for parties, events, meetings, and retreats.

“We decided to do one market a month, instead of every Saturday,” explained Dawn Justin, Director of Marketing at Justin Trails Resort and Market Coordinator. The market will feature a variety of vendors selling hand/homemade goods.

Consumables include organic and long fermented sourdough breads, bagels, and pastries, banana nut bread, short bread, freeze dried fruit, veggies and candies, fresh baked granola, maple syrup, and custom decorated sugar cookies.

Items for your body include llama and alpaca wool socks, mittens, hats, scarves, ear warmers, soap, bags, and handmade jewelry. Handmade creations for your home include llama and alpaca wool rugs, wood items, signs, candles, wax melts, plants, tumblers, wood turned vases, and bowls.

Purchase fresh, unique, hand-crafted goods, directly from the people who grow and make them!
