Wayne Allen Stoltz, born April 1st 1935 in La Crosse, WI died December 29, 2025.  He grew up in Tomah, WI to Otto & Phila Stoltz with three siblings.  Wayne graduated from Tomah High School in 1953 and received his B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Univ. of Wisconsin at Madison in June of ‘57.  He met the love of his life Joan Ehlers in college and they married just after both graduating and soon moved to Arizona just after Joan’s career pitstop in Minneapolis and Wayne’s Army training in Ft. Monmouth, NJ.

In September of 1953 until August of 1955, Wayne served in the Army National Guard. After college graduation, he served as an officer in the Signal Corps at Fort Huachuca, AZ. Upon discharge he served 8 years in the Army Reserves.

Wayne provided 38 years of electrical engineering expertise to Motorola in Scottsdale mostly for the Government Electronics Group. During his tenure, he was an active member of the American Society for Quality Control and in 1969, Arizona State University awarded him a Masters’ Degree in Industrial Engineering.

Wayne is survived by his wife Joan Ehlers Stoltz (married 6/22/1957), brother Loren Stoltz (aka Bub), son Randy Stoltz (Patti), grandchildren Savanna Fallon (Jon), Carson Stoltz, Trenton Stoltz, Mackenzie Stoltz, and Adam Stoltz. His daughter-in-law Karen Stoltz Brent survives him, yet his son Ronald Wayne Stoltz, and sisters Carol Sheppard and Jean Schanze-Suzuki precede his passing.

The Celebration of Life service will be Friday, January 23rd @ 10am at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1035 E. Guadalupe Road, Tempe AZ 85283.
