Supporting Recovery and Second Chances
Treatment courts provide individuals struggling with substance use and related challenges an opportunity to change the direction of their lives through accountability, treatment, recovery support, and community involvement. Treatment courts are currently operating in 61 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties and serving five tribal nations, reaching communities throughout the state. WATCP supports the professionals who make these programs possible. Proceeds from the charity golf outing will help WATCP:
Provide high-quality, evidence-based training to treatment court teams.
Keep educational opportunities affordable and accessible.
Provide scholarships to professionals whose agencies have limited training budgets.
Strengthen treatment court programs that promote recovery, accountability, reduced recidivism, stronger families, and safer communities.
“Treatment courts are about second chances, accountability, recovery, and giving people the opportunity to change the direction of their lives,” said Amanda L. Parlow, President of the WATCP Board of Directors. “This event gives us an opportunity to bring our communities together to support the professionals working every day to make those second chances possible.”
Community Support Makes a Difference
WATCP is seeking support from businesses, organizations, and individuals who share a commitment to recovery and stronger communities. Sponsorship and donation opportunities include event and hole sponsorships, silent auction and raffle donations, and monetary contributions.
“Recovery doesn't happen simply because someone wants to change,” Parlow said. “People need support, resources, accountability, and a community willing to invest in their success. Treatment courts operate on that same principle.”
Treatment courts save lives, strengthen families, reduce recidivism, and improve public safety. Support from community partners allows WATCP to continue investing in the professionals and programs that help make these outcomes possible.
WATCP invites businesses, treatment and recovery organizations, community leaders, and treatment court supporters to join us in making the inaugural charity golf outing a success.
