Harriet A. Hellmich (nee Hobart), age 92, died at Huntington Place, Janesville, Wisconsin on March 26, 2026. She was born in Strongs Prairie, Wisconsin, July 9, 1933 to George and Winnie (Burhite) Hobart.
Harriet was the devoted wife of the late Bernard Hellmich. They met at a dance and continued their love of dancing during their 55 years of marriage. They also enjoyed traveling and visited 48 of the 50 states. She is survived by her children Dorothy (John) Surdick, Steven (Deborah) Hellmich, and Dan (Cortney) Hellmich, 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and their spouses, and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law and their spouses.
The funeral will be at the SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME in Janesville, Wisconsin on Friday, April 10 at 12 noon, with visitation from 11 am until the service. Burial will be on Saturday, April 11 at 12 noon at the LaGrange Cemetery, Tomah, Wisconsin where she will be buried next to her husband.
