SPARTA – Ticarra Manning (born in Nashville, TN) passed away peacefully with her family at her bedside.  Ticarra attended Sparta High School and furthered her passion for teaching while attending the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse.  Known for her acts of kindness, she touched the lives of everyone she met. Above all, Ticarra was a devoted mother for her children who she referred to as “My Boys”!  Her love was exemplified through immense joy and purpose, as she “nurtured” their dreams.

She is survived by her parents, Yolanda D. Manning-Joyce (Smith), Ross P. Manning and James C. Joyce; her beloved children, Jackson Manning and Porter J. Steinhoff; and her siblings, Tiara Manning, Tiffany Manning, Florence Jordan and Perry Manning.

Ticarra will remain forever in our hearts. Her legacy of love and joy will be cherished and remembered always. As Kahlil Gibran once wrote, “Love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.” Her family finds comfort in knowing that ”In all things, God works for the good of those who love Him and are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28). They take comfort in knowing that her love and devotion endures beyond her time here with us.

A Celebration of Life was held on October 12, 2024, at Evan Bosshard Park, Sparta, WI. Lanham-Schanhofer Funeral Home and Cremation assisted the family.
