TOMAH - Thomas E. Hopinkah, age 89, of Tomah, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021, at Tomah Health.
He was born November 10, 1932, to Abel and Allie (White) Hopinkah in Black River Falls, WI. Tom grew up in Tomah and was a 1951 graduate of Tomah High School. Following high school, he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Tom was united in marriage to Aurelia Lera Goodbear on June 25, 1961.
He is survived by his wife, Lera, his daughter, Felicia, grandchildren, Aaron and Allie, great grandchildren, Atraedeis and Aurelia many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Allie, daughter, Celeste, sisters, Elvina, Vera, Iva, Connie and Myrtle, a brother, a half-brother, Jesse and several nieces and nephews.
Traditional Ho Chunk services to include visitation was held Wednesday, December 29, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Blue Wing Community Center, Tomah, WI. Richard Mann officiated. Burial with full military honors followed in the Blue Wing Cemetery, Tomah, WI.
