N Court St. house fire Friday morning

This morning at 06:52 hours the Sparta Area Fire District responded to a reported house fire at 406 North Court Street in the City of Sparta.
 
When Chief Mike Arnold arrived heavy smoke and fire was coming from the back of the house and roof area.
 
The fire was brought under control in 30 minutes ,crews had to deal with multiple additions to the house that were added onto.
 
No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported.
 
Fire Chief Mike Arnold said that the fire is under investigation at this time and says they have an area of origin but no exact cause at this time.
 
Crews were on the scene for 4 hours.
 
The home is insured.
 
The Fire Department was assisted by the Sparta Police Department,Monroe County Sheriff's Office,Sparta Ambulance Service,Sparta Water Department,Xcel Energy,We Energies Fort McCoy Fire Department and the Monroe County 911 Center.
 
The Herald will release any additional information about the cause of the fire as soon as it becomes available.
