Sparta Free Library offers glimpse into expansion

Posted

Sparta Free Library will host an Expansion Sneak Peek Open House for the community on Wednesday, September 7th, from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.. The original 1902 Carnegie Library was upgaded in 1982, and now visitors will have the opportunity to view the updated plans for the current remodeling and expansion. The architectural firm, FEH Design, will be there to answer any questions about the design and plans. Tours of the facility will be provided by the Library Staff.

There will be a meet and greet of the Library Board Trustees and Friends of the Sparta Free Library group. Light refreshments will be provided.

With a public driven vision, expansion and remodel plans have evolved through the guidance of Trustees, staff and City of Sparta Administration and Common Council. The library strives to become a more collaborative-learning community hub, providing local businesses with support, as well as flexible, lifelong learning spaces for all. We feel that these are achievable goals for this efficient and improved space. For more information, call (608)269-2010.
