Sherry A. Kuehl, Aged 63, died unexpectedly on Monday Sept. 9, 2024. Sherry was born in Tucson, Arizona, but grew up in Sparta, WI. She married Vaughn Kuehl on February 13, 1982. She and Vaughn raised their 4 children in Tomah, WI. As a young family they enjoyed gardening, raising Newfoundland dogs, fishing and camping together. Once the kids were a bit older, she juggled the responsibilities of being a homemaker while driving bus for the Tomah School District. Many knew her as the friendly face behind the counter at the Tomah Family Dollar, where she worked for 18 years.

Sherry was witty, generous, had a great sense of humor and was a great cook. She loved to feed people and anyone coming to the house would leave with enough food for days. She had many hobbies over the years including canning, quilting, sewing, puzzles and other various crafts. Her favorite movies included Hocus Pocus, Overboard (the Goldie Hawn version obviously) and Anaconda, because “the snake dies at the end”.

She is survived by her Husband, Vaughn; 4 children, Amanda, Matthew, Reba and Keshia; Grandchildren Katara, Lola, Lorik and Abby; Brothers, Dale, Frank, and Wayne; extended family, and many friends in the community. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Condolences can be sent to the Kuehl household:

16083 Herring Rd.

Tomah, WI, 54660.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The Torkelson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
