SPICEWOOD, TX - Sharon Roof Lewis, age 80 originally from Tomah WI. passed  away quietly in her home in Spicewood Tx. on December 28th.

Sharon loved her home overlooking Lake Travis enjoying the peaceful view, the deer and the hummingbirds that frequented there. The back porch became the gathering place for family and friends. Sharon was born February 25, 1941 and lived in or around Tomah most of her early years before making Texas her permanent home in 1984.  She put herself through Cosmetology and Electrolysis school while raising her young children. She loved life and loved to dance. She danced in the kitchen, on the deck, the grocery store…everywhere really. Even through her struggles, her joy for life and indomitable spirit were infectious and she brought life and spirit to any gathering.

Sharon came from a large family of 7 brothers and sisters,  remaining very close to them even though she was many miles away. She loved to return to Wisconsin for visits often staying well past her planned departure date. She also loved to travel, spending considerable time in San Diego and the mountains with family.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years Steven Lewis of Spicewood Tx and her two children; Richard Becker of Chetek WI. and Michelle Becker Olney of Austin Tx; her sisters Carol Linenberg of Tomah and Vohnie Rabuck of New Lisbon; 4 grandchildren, Colton and Alexi Olney of Austin Tx; Joshua and Mathew Becker of Chetek WI and a very large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Timothy and Rose Roof of Tomah WI, Sisters Harriet Delap of New Lisbon WI and Rosemary Long of Warrens, WI; brothers Stanley Roof of Tomah WI and Robert Roof of Warrens WI. A Celebration of  Life will be held in the spring, in Tomah WI., date and location to be determined. And yes, in her honor and memory, there will be dancing.
