Robert (Bob) Irwin Clemmerson, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, at MeadowBrook, surrounded by his devoted family. Bob was born on August 17, 1948, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, to Oscar and Elsie (Bratz) Clemmerson. His life, filled with laughter and love, left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Bob was a man of great warmth and humor, renowned for his ability to create friendships wherever he went. A self-educated man, he spent much of his life as a self-employed mechanic, later keeping himself busy with various odd jobs, including pouring coffee at the Merrillan Cafe, where he enjoyed meeting new people. His love for small local restaurants and the joy of taking his beloved dog Lily everywhere were hallmarks of his affable nature.
In December 1989, Bob married the love of his life, Judy Nokleby, at the Assembly God Church in Black River Falls. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Though Judy, along with his son Robert (Bob) and many other dear family members, have predeceased him, Bob’s legacy lives on in his surviving children, Brandon (Brandy), Brad (Jenny), as well as his daughter-in-law, Terri, and his Stepchildren, Shelly (Craig), Rick (Peggy), Bobbie (Larry) and Cary. His grandchildren, Christopher (Brandi), Shelby, Allysa, Darion, Alexis (Brandon), Jason, Michael, Layden, Maddie, Octavia, Avianna, Sadie, Darby (Tyler), Jessica, Nicole, Arich, Brittney, Brett, Nate, Brinley, and Wesley, and so many (12) more great-grandchildren, will forever hold him in their hearts.
Bob is also survived by his siblings, Donna (Frank) of Black River Falls, Becky Shafer of Sparta, and Donald Clemmerson of Owen. His family was his whole world, and he was always just a phone call away, ready to lend a hand or share a joke. Known as a jokester, Bob’s sense of humor and willingness to go the extra mile for his loved ones will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on September 26, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Merrillan Gile Park, located at 100-198 Park Dr., Merrillan, WI 54754. Family and friends are welcome to gather to honor his memory, share stories, and remember a man who brought so much joy to the world.
They would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Carrigan Moser and Jennifer Schaper for their extraordinary care and support, as well as to Heather Buder and Steven Burns for being such kind and caring friends to Bob.
Bob Clemmerson was loved by many and will be missed by all. His spirit of kindness, humor, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
