Phyllis Jeanne Schedler, age 93, of Tomah, WI, was called to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Touch of Home in Tomah.
She was born on April 27, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI. She was the first of five children born to Clarence and Lydia (Berg) Kortbein. Phyllis was confirmed in her Christian faith on April 14, 1946 by her grandfather C. E. Berg. She attended Ridgeville school and then Tomah High School.
Phyllis was united in marriage on June 13, 1954 to Donald Schedler at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ridgeville. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Keith, Susan, and Mark.
She was an active and faithful member first at St. John’s Ridgeville and then of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, Tomah. She cared for her family and held several jobs throughout the years. She worked for Don’s Plumbing until her retirement and babysat for her great grandchildren. Mission work was one of her main interests and love at church.
On the morning of April 29, the Lord called Phyllis home to her eternal rest where there is no more pain and sorrow. By faith we are certain of a glorious family reunion at Jesus’ feet.
