Patti at age 75 went to be with the lord above on November 5th, 2021 after succumbing to the battle of her will versus heart. She was born on July 1st 1946 to Glen and Mildred (Abbott) Young in Black River Falls Wisconsin.

She was the 2nd child added to the home farm with two younger brothers to come Monty (Catherine) and Roger (Penny) and one older Gary.

She enjoyed her kids, Grandkids, she enjoyed being the life of the party when she partied dart league and all the fun, and she loved family near and far.  Through all the battles she fought she was head strong and learned it young that life was never easy and you made do with the cards you were given and you grow where you’re planted.

In 1945 she Married Hugh Guy Jr (JR) and later divorced. She had two daughters through this marriage Teresa (Neil) Cain Sparta WI and Jessica (David)Finke Princeton MN.  She gained a lot of family and just having blood lines did not always make you in the tree, there was a lot of kids who called her mom, Aunt Patti, and Grandma.  But the apples of her eye and what she lived for was her Grandkids; Bradley (Catherine), Amanda (Corey), Johnny boy, Lillian (Lil), Brandon (Bud) and her little Elizabeth.  The light shined in her eyes and there was spoiling to do and it was done.

She had her adopted kids too and there are many as her kids brought them home all the time too many to list as I will miss someone and she would never miss them so I won’t list them, especially if this is by the line, I pay. There were so many nieces, nephews, and cousins also that she was so important too and help to grow along the way and share some shenanigans then and again. She was the babysitter to many cousins along the way also and anyone who spent time with her feels a loss today.

After her divorce she had her Soul mate Fredrick Jotham to do her tasks, and take her gruff, and be her rock, and all over be her partner in life.  He proceeded her in Death in 2016.

She was also proceeded in death by Both Maternal and Paternal Grandparents, Her Mother Mildred, father Glen, a brother Gary, a niece Kim, a few sisters from another mister Norma, and Beverly, a second mother to her Mavis and Her Johnny boy.  If I list them all we will take a page as at 75 you live a full life, you also live a full of heat break life as many go before you. Not always fair but God does not give us a choice and once he takes you not a care.

She spent many years working in housekeeping out to Ft McCoy and enjoyed her family there too. She worked at Spartek in Sparta also. But her enjoyment was doing what she could for whom she could and that was her gift the lord gave her. She shared that with her kids and grandkids and those who know them know this. There was never a time that you left her house hungry by her choice and she never held away from giving to whom she could what she could.

She was baptized in 1985 and a member of the Pine hill church and most recently the Shamrock union church and enjoyed the friendships and the worship as she believed in God and even up till last week knew that she would be joining him soon. She was adamant on thanking the B home hospice unit as they treated her with so much love, kindness and respect.  Also the 2nd floor of the Black River Falls Memorial hospital for their care while she was there. So, until we meet again fly high and be free…

There will be no funeral per say as a Celebration of life and who she was is more fitting of this life well lived.  It will be Sunday November 14th at L and M Café in Melrose Wisconsin from 2pm to 4 pm.  Please join us for some fellowship and memories of a life well lived.  Zwickey funeral home in Melrose is assisting the family with arrangements.
