With deep sadness, yet gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Patricia Selke, lovingly known as Patti, who left this world on July 8, 2026. Patti was born on December 11, 1951, in Imperial, California, to Homer “Bob” and Mary (Morris) Draughn. She departed peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her life, her husband Michael, after a courageous eight-year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Patti’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering resilience and a spirit that touched everyone she met. She was blessed with a marriage that spanned nearly 57 years, having wed her beloved Michael Selke on July 19, 1969, in her hometown of Imperial, California. Their union was one of enduring love, profoundly inspiring all who witnessed it.
Patti was a devoted mother to her three children: Michael Patrick and his wife Melissa, Edgar Ernest and his wife Nichole, and Georgia Ann Selke and her husband Greg Livingston. Her children were a constant source of pride and joy, and she cherished the moments spent with them. Patti is also survived by her siblings, Virginia Clark, Sally and her husband John Pickens, Robert and his wife Pam, who will forever hold her memory dear.
Her creative spirit shone brightly through her many hobbies. Patti had a passion for ceramics, where she lovingly poured, cleaned, fired, and painted each piece with meticulous care. Her embroidery and garment-making skills were legendary, crafting everything from shirts to dresses to intricate wedding gowns. Patti’s artistic flair extended to her exquisite card making, including captivating 3D designs that brought smiles to countless faces.
Patti’s warm and engaging personality made her a friend to everyone she met. Her kindness and generous spirit were boundless, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a comforting word. Her legacy of compassion and friendship will continue to inspire those who knew her.
In honoring Patti’s memory, the family kindly suggests donations be made to the local food pantry, reflecting her lifelong commitment to supporting her community. Additionally, they extend heartfelt gratitude to the Tomah Health Home Hospice group for their loving care and compassion during Patti’s final days.
Patti was predeceased by her parents, her brothers David and James, and her sister Adele. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and warmth that will be cherished by her family and friends for years to come. Her presence in the lives she touched was a blessing, and her memory will forever be a guiding light.
A private celebration of Patti’s life will be held with her family and close friends, where they will gather to honor her spirit and the incredible life she led. May her soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love she so generously gave.
The gathering will be on the 25th of July 2026, at 24306 Endeaver Rd, Tomah, WI. From 12:00 PM until it’s over.
