Nancy Boan (Mossholder), age 82, of Sparta and Milwaukee WI, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025. She was born in Sparta, WI on February 16, 1942, to Raymond and Edith Mossholder. She lived in Sparta until moving to South Carolina and lastly Milwaukee, WI.
Nancy was married to Charles Benedict for 27 years and they had three children, Debbra, Kathy and Curtis. Nancy later married John Boan and moved to South Carolina where she worked as a school bus driver until John passed. She then settled in Milwaukee after buying a home where she drove bus for the city of Milwaukee until she retired. In October of 2024 she sold her home and moved to Mustang, OK to live with Curtis and his family.
Nancy loved to spend time with her siblings and their large family gatherings. She was an avid gardener, and you always knew her home as it was the one with all the beautiful flowers. She also loved to take family around Milwaukee to see different sites.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, her husband John, her brother Bill, and sisters Doris, Betty, Joann and grandson Eric. She is survived by her children Debbra (Benedict) and husband David Schultenover, Kathy Benedict, Curtis Benedict and his wife Tamara (Hiltzman) Benedict. Nancy has 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services are to be planned for a later date in 2025 and will be held in Sparta, WI.
