NAMI Monroe-Juneau announced it has become an official affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), serving residents in Monroe and Juneau Counties with expanded access to mental health education, support, and community resources.
NAMI Monroe-Juneau is a fully volunteer‑led nonprofit committed to strengthening mental health support in the region. The affiliate is laying the groundwork for local programming and community partnerships, with plans to offer NAMI Ending the Silence presentations in area schools. Future activities are expected to include a NAMI Wisconsin Peer Support Group and the NAMI Hearts + Minds class, which focuses on how physical health is connected to mental health.
“NAMI Monroe-Juneau exists to make sure no one in our community faces mental health challenges alone,” said Kayla Seitz, Outreach/Social Media, NAMI Monroe-Juneau Wisconsin. “We look forward to connecting with schools, organizations, and volunteers to increase mental health support in our communities.”
As NAMI Monroe-Juneau continues to develop local programs, residents across Monroe and Juneau Counties are encouraged to explore Being Together, a directory of statewide, virtual support groups for people affected by mental health conditions or their family members.
