Monroe County Agricultural Society Scholarship

Posted

The Monroe County Agricultural Society (MCAS) recognizes leadership in young people within their communities. They want to assist and encourage students to reach their academic goals. MCAS hands out up to four $500 scholarships per calendar year.

To be eligible, scholarship applicants must have participated in 4H, FFA or any approved club/group. They must also meet the following criteria: be from Brookwood, Cashton, Tomah, or Sparta school districts, have been a member in 4H or FFA for 2 or more years as an approved group/club member, and plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college or university. The applicant can presently be enrolled in a four-year college or a one-or two-year technical college. They must have a cumulative high school or college grade point average between 2.50 and 4.00 (transcript required). Emphasis will be placed on community involvement, experience, and activities.

The MCAS board reviews the recipients and makes the choice of one from each school district if applied for.
