SPARTA - Melaine Savor 92 of Sparta passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 12th after a long struggle with Alzheimers. She was born Melaine Henrietta on November 21, 1929 in Alexandria Minnesota to Melvin and Rose, where she was the youngest of four girls; Luella, Virginia and Rosemary.
Melaine, a strong and independent woman, spent several of her younger years living and working in Minneapolis where she met and married Ulysses Savor, her husband of 38 years. Together they greatly enjoyed the outdoors especially, fishing in the Canadian Boundary Waters while raising a family of six boys and one girl.
Melaine is survived by her daughter-in-law Connie Rasmussen, grandchildren Brandon (Sara), Jordon, Adrienne, Coltin (Elise), and six great grandchildren; son Gregory (Kimberly), grand children Alexander (Jaimie), Justine (Tobias), Alanna, Evan, and three great grandchildren; son Douglas; son Jonathan (Brenda), grand children Keegan and Brielle; son Thomas (Laura) and grandchildren Andrina and Connor; and daughter Marteen Rubino (Simon) and granddaughter Madaleine.
Melaine was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, husband Ulysses, and two sons Timothy and Stephen.
