SPARTA - Mary L. Beavers, 81, of Sparta, died Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Serenity House in Tomah. She was born on August 10, 1944 in Black River falls, WI to Jessie and Mabel (Murphy) Johnson. She grew up in Black River Falls.
Mary enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and crafts. She cherished gatherings and holidays with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Penny (Al) Brueggen of Sparta and Shelly (Darren) Byers of Tennessee; grandchildren, Jessica (Jeremy) Brueggen-Christensen of Sparta and Paige (Chris) Brueggen-Decorah of Sparta; great grandchildren, Xya, Fenyx, Rippyn, and Blake; sister, Verna Rugg of Cataract; and special friend, Jim Mather of Cataract.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Conrad and Dennis Johnson; and sisters, Margaret Ewert, Norma Huber, and Doris Burchard.
