Lynnette Marie Zieler, age 60, of Tomah/Oakdale, WI, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, May 23, 2025. She was born on September 2, 1964, in Illinois, the daughter of Leonard Sr. and Simone (McCarthy) Zieler.
Lynnette was the proud owner and operator of Brash & Sassy Salons in Tomah. Her clients weren’t just getting a haircut; they were signing up for a dose of Lynnette’s latest jokes and a guaranteed pick-me-up.
A true Chicago Bears fan, Lynnette’s enthusiasm for her team was as unwavering as her sense of style. She brought the same passion to her love of fishing in Canada, boating on Castle Rock Lake, and snowmobiling across Wisconsin’s wintry landscapes. Along with her countless adventures with Steve on the Ultra Glide motorcylce. If there was a way to make a moment more memorable, Lynnette was the first to figure it out, always going above and beyond in everything she did.
To say Lynnette was loving, funny, and generous would be an understatement. She was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back and then make a joke about how it was last season’s fashion. Her stories, her laughter, and her unyielding spirit will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to know her.
Lynnette is survived by her son, Robert “Bubba” Zieler-Singleton and his fiancée, Alivia Lensing; her significant other, Steve Kast Jr.; brothers, Guy (Barb) Zieler and Wayne Zieler; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Dawn Zieler, Leonard Jr. Zieler, and Keith Zieler. A Celebration of Lynnette’s life will be held on June 7, 2025 from 11am-3pm, at Strike Zone Bowling Alley, 210 Superior Avenue, Tomah, WI 54660. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Lynnette’s legacy.
