With deep sorrow and abiding love, we announce the passing of Lynda Robinson on April 25, 2025, with her beloved husband and soulmate, Steve, and Kelly and Jess, two young ladies whom she adored like daughters, by her side. She was diagnosed with cancer in August of 2019 and was given 18 months to 2 years. Lynda refused that timeline, and fought a hard, tough battle for 6 years. Her journey on this earth was one of kindness, deep compassion, and unwavering love—for people, for animals, and for the world around her.

Born on August 13, 1949, in Hagerstown Maryland, Lynda was raised in Columbiana, Ohio, where she graduated from high school in 1967. Her life was forever changed when she met Steve Robinson, the love of her life. They were married on November 8, 1986, at the Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton, Illinois, beginning a life of shared devotion, joy, and purpose.

Lynda’s life was one of many paths, each reflecting her giving spirit. She worked as a hairdresser, restaurant manager, house cleaner, zone therapist, Young Living Essential Oil enthusiast, and eventually fulfilled a dream as the business owner of “The Healing Zone.” Her talents were many, but it was her heart that defined her—always offering a listening ear, wise counsel, and endless support to all who knew her.

She and Steve made homes across the country—from San Lorenzo, California, to Leetonia, Ohio, and finally to Warrens, Wisconsin—always moving where love and care were most needed, especially in support of their families. She selflessly cared for her parents, Helen and Ross, in their later years, a testament to her boundless love and loyalty.

Lynda was welcomed on the other side by, her parents, Helen and Ross Schockley, her brother, James Vogel, her sister, Eleanor Schockley, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert “Rob” and Freda Robinson, brothers-in-law, Joe and Bruce Robinson and her cherished animal companions.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Steve; her sister, Myrna (Michael) Teague; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sandra (Rodney) Tucker, Wayne Robinson, Julie (Brian) Dalton, and Scott Robinson. She is also survived by many dear friends, especially her close companion Kelly, all of whom carry a piece of her love in their hearts.

A celebration of Lynda’s life will be held at Torkelson Funeral Home on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 4:00 p.m.to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 6:45 p.m. Following the service, there will be a short drum circle to send Lynda off, guided by the spirit of ‘Phoenix’. All are encouraged to bring a drum or rattle—though none is needed to join. All are welcome.

To know Lynda was to feel seen, heard, and loved. She believed in the goodness of others, and her compassion touched everyone around her. Her connection with nature and animals was profound, and her legacy of care and empathy will live on in the many lives she touched.

She was, and always will be, a light in our lives.
