Lowell M. Steyer, 80, passed away on January 1, 2025, after a brief stay At the Tomah V.A. He was the son of Hilbert and Ellen Steyer.
He grew up on a farm in the Leon area with six siblings and attended Leon Elementary School and Sparta High School. He joined the Navy and served his country with great pride. He retired from the Navy with the Rank of GMC(sw) after 20+ years.
He is survived by one son, Shane of Sparta, three grandchildren, and one Great-granddaughter, whom he enjoyed greatly and was so proud of.
Four brothers, Charles (Lynette), James of Sparta, Lee of Bangor, Terry (Cindy) of Glen Rock, PA., and one sister, Mary(Bob) Tre of Sparta. Many Nieces and Nephews and a beloved dog, Stryker. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannell, his parents, two brothers, Hilbert and Daniel, a sister, Janice Ann, and his beloved dog, Dusty.
A graveside service will be at the Leon Cemetery at 10:45, May 31,2 025. He will be greatly missed by all, but he will be in our hearts forever.
