Linda L. (Terpstra) Pfuhl, age 85 years, recently of Waterford, WI and formerly of Sparta, WI passed away on September 8th, 2026, at Azura Assisted Living.

Linda was born in Sparta, WI on February 14th, 1941, to Dewey and Lillian (Dayton) Terpstra. She graduated from Sparta High School in 1958. Linda married Willard Pfuhl on April 4th, 1961, and they were married for 59 years until his passing in 2020. Willard and Linda lived in Wilton, WI in the early years of marriage, and moved to Sparta, WI in 1963. They resided in various locations in Sparta until August of 2019 when they moved to Southeast WI to be closer to family.

Right out of high school, Linda went to work as a bookkeeper and worked at this position for nearly 40 years, retiring from the Monroe County Clerk of Courts office in 1996 as a Deputy/Bookkeeper. She was a member of the Sparta United Methodist Church and served with the UMW. After moving to Waterford, she attended Community Church of Waterford and frequently volunteered in the office.

Linda loved to cook and bake and always had a supply of meals and desserts saved in the freezer to serve unexpected guests or to make holidays special. She was a dedicated seamstress and sewed outfits for the family for every occasion. Her passion was cross-stitching up until her hands could not do it anymore. Linda had a big heart and a very loving nature and often used her gifts and abilities to care for others. She was an avid Brewers fan and often texted with a friend after each game.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Kris, her grandson, Gavin (Kelly) Kirchner, of North Aurora, IL, and her granddaughter Olivia (Keith) Ginn, of Rock Hill, SC, as well as four great grandchildren, August, Otto, Nora, Clara, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, and her daughter, Lori.
