Linda L. Lietz, 81 of Norwalk, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 1, 1944, to Garland and Alta “Dolly” (Liek) Dettmann in Sparta, WI. Linda was a member of the Tomah High School Graduating Class of 1963. Linda spent several years working in the bakery department at Burnstad’s before later joining Mega Food, and she also devoted her time to caring for others as a caretaker at Sunset Ridge. She also volunteered at the local food pantry and was a faithful member of the First Congregational, UCC. Giving back to her community was important to her, and she approached it with the same warmth and generosity she shared with everyone in her life. She loved to travel, finding joy in the majesty of the Rocky Mountains to the west and the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains to the east. Some of her most memorable adventures took her to California and to Maine to visit her brother. Above all, Linda treasured time with her family and friends. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Feisty, fun, and always ready for an adventure, Linda had a gift for meeting new people, exploring new places, and embracing life with an open heart. She also found joy in the quiet moments—watching and feeding the birds outside her window, snuggling with her beloved puppies, and chatting on the phone with her children. These simple, peaceful routines brought her as much happiness as her biggest adventures, grounding her in the love she carried so deeply for her family.
