SPARTA - Kevin Lee Ritter, age 64, of rural Sparta and formerly of Tomah, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.  Kevin and his twin brother, Karl, were born on July 13, 1959, to George and Evelyn (Zieber) Ritter in Tomah.  Kevin grew up on the home farm and graduated in 1978 from Tomah High School.  After high school, he and his brother, Karl, went to dairy farm on one of the family farms near Tomah.  They had a number of milk quality awards.

Kevin met his future wife, Christine Schreier, through an adult friendship pen pal club and they later married on October 6, 1984, at the Catholic church on St. Mary’s Ridge. They lived on the farm for many years.  In 2012, Kevin and Chris moved to rural Sparta.  He had careers in factory work and Walmart and other various jobs until he retired.  Kevin was a hard worker and he put love and care into his jobs and projects.  He would tend to enjoy being comical with people.  Kevin will be deeply missed and not forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, George, David and twin brother, Karl; father-in-law, Donald Schreier, and nephews, John and Andy Ritter.
