Kelly M. Clark, age 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the Tomah Veteran’s Medical Center, while surrounded by the love of his wife, Debbie.  Kelly was born on February 4, 1951, in Sparta, Wisconsin, to Garland and Arlene (Hickok) Clark.

Chief Clark, a proud veteran, dedicated 33 years of his life to serving his country in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. His service was a testament to his strength of character. Kelly’s work ethic and involvement in the Air Force community left a lasting impact on those who had the honor of serving alongside him.

Beyond his military service, Kelly was a man of many interests and talents. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, finding peace and contentment in the great outdoors. His skills as a woodsman were incomparable, and he was particularly known for his exceptional craftsmanship. The cradles he lovingly made have become cherished family heirlooms, passed down through two generations, each one a symbol of his talent and care.

Kelly’s zest for life was infectious. He loved to travel and seek out new adventures, often accompanied by Debbie, his beloved wife of 54 years. Together, they explored the world, from the calm of cruises to the excitement of unknown destinations, their love for each other, the constant compass guiding their journey. Kelly also found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like playing a competitive game of Euchre or sharing his infectious smile with everyone he met. Kelly and Debbie were a constant presence at their children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events—faithfully in the stands and never missing a chance to show their love and pride.  His family will always remember with a smile his ability to strike up a conversation with a stranger and turn them into a friend.

Above all, Kelly’s world revolved around his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie; their loving children, Tim (special friend, Lori Schaller) Clark and children, Cindy (Linda Lor) Puerto, Justin (Rita) Clark, and Taylor Clark, Bridgette (Dirk) Winfield and children, Brooke (Preston) Barrow and Brandon Winfield,  Travis (Megan) Clark and children, Dylan Clark, Olivia Clark and Madelyn Clark, and Samantha (Joe) Tokarz and children, Elizabeth Connor and Eleanor Torkarz, and the great-grandchildren who continued to light up his life until his final days, Ryland, Ashton and Brielle Clark and Dayton and Annie Barrow; along with his brother, Michael (Mary) Clark; and Jannette Puerto, mother to Cindy, Justin and Taylor.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; great grandson, Wesley; and infant brother, William.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Tomah VA and their hospice unit for the extraordinary care, compassion, and comfort they provided to Kelly in his final days. Your kindness brought peace to him and solace to our family during this difficult time!
