WILTON- Joyce Marie (Von Ruden) Beier, 76 of Wilton, WI passed away October 23, 2024 of kidney failure. She was born in Sparta, WI to Lyle and Mary June (Calhoun) Von Ruden on April 2, 1948. Joyce spent most of her growing up years in the Wilton area. She lived on the farm with her family and spent her early childhood exploring the farmland with her dog, Trixie. Joyce went to elementary school in Wilton and graduated from Royal High School. While she had planned on pursuing a career in cosmetology, life took her in a different direction.
Joyce enjoyed playing pool and cards, dancing, and her Packers. She also enjoyed people and worked many different jobs in the service industry over the years. But the job that she loved best was being a mother. Her son, Shane was an only child, but she mothered numerous children over the years, opening her home and her heart.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, son Shane, parents Lyle and June, brother and sister-in-laws, and her beloved cat, Anna Rose. She is survived by her sister Debra (Norbert) Beaver Dam, her brothers Donald (Toni) of Bradley, South Carolina and David (Tonya) of Sparta, Heidi (Craig) Jackson of Sparks, Nevada, as well as seven nephews and two nieces. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 17th at 1 pm at the Wilton Legion Post 508 in Wilton, WI. Internment will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Wilton. A special thank you to Fr. Mike Tess and Agrace Hospice for the special care and concern shown to Joyce and her family.
