Jeannette I. Schober, 86 of Warrens passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Tomah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Tomah.  She was born on August 30, 1938, in LaCrosse, WI to Raymond and Melva (Steele) Good.  After high school, Jeannette attended college and obtained her certified nursing assistant certificate.  On August 26, 1961, Jeannette was united in marriage to David C. Schober at St. Patrick’s Parish, Sparta.  He preceded her in death on April 13, 2012.

Jeannette worked for over 35 years at Tomah Memorial Hospital until her retirement.  She was a faithful and devoted member of Queen of the Apostles Parish and severed on the St. Monica Guild.  In her leisure time, Jeannette enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, painting, sewing, needlepoint, mowing her lawn, gardening and fishing.  In her later years, she especially enjoyed picnicking, fishing and taking mini vacations with her son, David and his girlfriend Tammy.

She is survived by her children, David J. Schober and his significant other, Tammy Mathews of Red Wing, MN and Dawn Schober of Salem, WI, siblings, Linda Mattison, Carol Starks, Diana Starks, Richard Schendel, and David Good. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, siblings, Virginia (Keith) Strait and Raymond Schendel.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, 11:00 AM at Queen of the Apostles Parish, 303 W. Monroe Street, Tomah.  Father Ethan J. Hokamp will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited for a time of visitation on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
