Janis L. Rayburn, 80 of Tomah passed away at her home on Monday, July 20, 2026. She was born on May 9, 1946, to George and Evah (Martin) Williams. She grew in Tomah with her 9 siblings. Janis was a member of the Tomah High School Graduating Class of 1964.
Family meant everything to Janis, and she especially treasured time with her grandchildren and great‑grandchildren. She loved the outdoors and could often be found camping, sitting by a bonfire, or enjoying a friendly game of bean bags or horseshoes. Shooting darts at Franny’s was one of her favorite pastimes, where she shared laughter, stories, and good company.
She is survived by her daughters, Lori Klanke of Altamont, IL and Tiffany of Tomah; 9 grandchildren, Sara, Travis, Tessla, Skyler, Alexis, Angel, Kyle, Marcus and Ramona; 5 great grandchildren, Braxton, Brynlee, Raina, Theo and Treyden; siblings, Richard Williams and Bob Williams. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Evah; her one true love, Ted Moeller; son, Jay Moeller; sisters, Janet (twin), Gwen and Alice; brothers, Tom, Jerry, George and Roger.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, 2:00 PM at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau Street, Tomah. Pastor Bruce Milleman will officiate. Followed by a luncheon at Cranberry Country Lodge.
The Rayburn Family would like to invite those that knew Janis to join them on Saturday, 5:30 PM at Franny’s Bar to raise a glass in Janis’s memory.
Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Saturday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
