(Skip) Gordon Alderman of Norwalk, WI, passed away on the morning of November 27th, 2024, just as the sun was rising, with music and love surrounding him. Skip was born to Gordon and Lynda Alderman, on September 27th, 1966, in Tomah, Wisconsin. My Granny tells me that my father gained his nickname, “Skip”, by which many know him, from always skipping as a young child. Granny stated, with love and fondness in her eyes, “that he never walked, he always skipped”. I love that back story and felt that it needed to be shared, as it seems so fitting for my father’s personality and life.

Skip was a jack of all trades and a very hard worker. “Live hard, play hard”, he would say, and in his life, he did just that. While he worked construction regularly, I will always remember him working the farms, how he smelled, and the days that he would take me to pet the cows and other farm animals. I remember the early mornings and long days and knowing how much he put into his work. Skip had the most infectious laugh. The kind of laugh that makes you laugh, and bounces in and out of frequency in a crowded room.

Skip had a kind heart and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. Skip had a beautiful smile, one that most always was mischievous, as well. Skip was the life of the party, always pushing the boundaries, he was a light maker and bringer. We will remember him in many different ways, but the ones that stick out are his lightheartedness in a cruel world, his laughter and smile, his absolute humor, and his kindness. We look upon his life and legacy with love, gratitude, and admiration in our hearts.Skip is survived by his daughter and only child: Ashley (Derek) Fish, his 3 grandchildren; Ariella Vonruden, Leum Thom, and Zurraeah Thom, whom were his pride and joy, his mother, Lynda (Gordon) Alderman, sisters; Doris (Mike) Geier, Dessa (Joe) Coleman, and Wendy (Skin) Skinner. Brother: Robbin Alderman. Many nieces, nephews, family and friends, and special friends: Amy Kotton and John Kowitz.

Skip is proceeded in death by his father: Gordon (Gordie) Alderman.

In true “Skip” fashion, “What’s Happenin”, is we’re having a celebration of life in honor of Skip on his birthday, September 27th, 2025. The celebration will be held at Doris’s home, AKA, “Snook”, from 4 pm until ... The address is 20366 Kelton Ave, Norwalk, WI, 54648.

Food will be provided, and a bonfire will be held at dusk, fun for all ages, BYOB and chair.

Please bring your light and love for Skip, pictures, and fond memories. Come as you are.
