During the summer months, many mornings, you could find Elsie and Phil at McDonalds enjoying coffee and the company of good friends, sharing stories and at times a couple of jokes.  Together they owned and operated the Arrowhead Reality Company in Tomah.  Elsie was a faithful member of the First Methodist Church, a former member of the Grassman-Sowle-Larsen-Senz American Legion Post #201 Ladie’s Auxiliary, a charter member of the Medical Air Service, and of the Hiawatha Golf Club.  She will always be remembered for her laugh and sense of humor.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (James) Burrows of Onalaska, 4 grandsons, Kurt (Wendy), Kraig (Kelly), Kris (Melissa) and Kelly (Angela) Burrows, 14 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, 2 special nieces, Linda Halverson and Diane Johnson, and many additional special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Marla Rae, and many sisters, and brothers, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Jan 8, 2026, 12:00 Noon, at the First United Methodist Church, 1105 Butts Ave. Tomah. Pastor Fran Hewuse will officiate. Burial will be at the New Lisbon City Cemetery.
