Edward Ellis Solberg (Ed) was born on March 11, 1954, in Sparta, Wisconsin. He passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at his residence in Cookeville, Tennessee. He leaves behind a loving family who cherished him deeply. Ed is survived by his wife, Laurie; his son, Scott Solberg, and daughter-in-law, Heide; his daughter, Karissa Solberg; his brother, Peter Solberg; and his sisters, Laurie Krueger (Gus), Jo Lynn Oliver (Todd), Jana Smith, and Jill Anderson (Mike). He was also a devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, Andre’ (Yesenia), Kalvin (Sam-fiancé), and Ava Solberg. Ed was preceded in death by his father, Wayne, and mothers Beverly and Judy, as well as his brothers, Stu Solberg, Joe Bruckman, and Jay Bruckman, and his sister, Jeri Zwack. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Sparta, WI on Friday, July 18, beginning at 5:00 p.m. with a meal being served after.
