Sparta - Donald J. Patridge, 84, formerly of Sparta, WI, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025, Marquardt Health Center in Watertown, WI. He and his twin brother Ronald were born to Robert and Violet (Reynolds) Patridge on January 17, 1941. They lived in La Crosse, WI for a short time before moving to a farm near Black River Falls, and later made their home in Madison, WI.
Donald was truly a remarkable individual. Donald was always active, whether he was riding his bike or walking everywhere, he never failed to embrace life with joy.
His love for visiting with people was evident in the way he approached his work. Donald worked for Eastgate Cinema, Walmart, and several Madison area restaurants, and no matter where he was, he managed to touch the hearts of everyone he met. His warm and friendly nature made him a beloved figure to all. He was even pictured on a Goodwill Industries truck as a member of their community.
Christmas, was undoubtedly his favorite time of the year. Donald had a unique and infectious enthusiasm for the holiday season. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting Donald would agree that he was someone special.
Donald is survived by his niece, Denise Schellin and her son Mason both of Madison; along with many cousins, another niece and nephew, and many dear friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Violet; his twin brother, Ronald; brother and sister-in-law, Robert “Bobby” and Gloria “Glory;” and a sister Sandra “Sandy.”
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025, 11:00 a.m.in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta, WI.
