Dennis S. Ryan, age 71, of Tomah, WI, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. He was born on May 31, 1953 in Viroqua, WI, to Walter and Emma (Young) Ryan.
He shared decades of unwavering love with his partner, Pam Steinmetz. Together, they owned and operated a lawn care business in Tomah.
Dennis was a beloved father to his son, Michael (Leah Tschillard) Ryan, and daughter, Meghan (Austin) Dunn. He instilled in them values of integrity and kindness, and his legacy continues to flourish through his grandchildren, Maeve and Finn Ryan, and Riley and Lukas Dunn, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
He is further survived by his brother, Michael Ryan, and sister, Sara (Richard) Kinney; along with his many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends, who felt the warmth of his generous spirit.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Emma; and a brother, Patrick Ryan.
Throughout his life, Dennis was an avid fan of Wisconsin sports, with a particular passion for the Badgers. He will be remembered as a man who loved to laugh and was always ready for a game of cards.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Philip Catholic Church, 42678 Church Rd., Soldiers Grove, WI, 54655. Father Tom Huff will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
