NORWALK-Dawn Rene Keith, 59, left this world on January 4, 2025, at her home in Norwalk, Wisconsin. Born on July 6, 1965, in Illinois to the late Robert Riley and late Lodeen Ostrand. Dawn's life journey was one of unwavering devotion to her family, her faith, and the simple joys of life.
Dawn grew up in Illinois, where she attended and later graduated in 1983 from Sacred Heart in Arlington Heights. Dawn's path led her to the most cherished roles of her life, that of a wife, mother, and homemaker. She poured her heart and soul into creating a nurturing home for her family, a place where love, laughter, and the aroma of home-cooked meals were ever-present.
Russell knew after laying eyes on Dawn that she was the one. Whispering to his future best man at church, “I’m gonna marry that girl”. Less than a year later, Dawn and Russell were united in marriage on September 15, 1990. Her marriage to Russell was a partnership of deep affection and mutual respect.
Together, they built a life rich in shared experiences and unwavering support for one another. Dawn's love blossomed further with the birth of her daughters, Hannah, who brought Will into the family as a beloved son-in-law, and Abby, each of whom she adored and guided with gentle wisdom.
Dawn's life was a reflection of her inner spirit – one that was loving, thoughtful, and faith-filled. Her church involvement at Faith Christian in Mauston, was not simply a choice but a calling. She lived her faith through her actions, inspiring those around her to embrace kindness and generosity in their own lives. Cooking was another of Dawn's passions, a way for her to express her love and care for her family and friends. Her gifts, both tangible and intangible, were given with a genuine desire to bring happiness to others.
Those who knew Dawn will remember her for her thoughtful nature. She had a unique ability to make every person she encountered feel valued and loved. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she often put the needs of others before her own. This selflessness was not just an attribute but the very essence of who she was.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Russell, daughters, Hannah (Will) Sebranek and Abby Keith, step-daughter, Haley Johnson, brother, Robert Riley (Lenore Hartman), sisters, Shannon (Mike) Weber, Linnea (Mike) Hare, half-sister, Megan (Dan) McGeary, step-mother, Pam Riley, in-laws, Russell Keith Jr. and Darlene Goldbeck, special friend, Cathy Fausett, and cat, Sugar.
