David N. Frost went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 24, 2026 at the age of 73 years old. He fought a courageous battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer.
David was born on January 20, 1953, in Sparta, WI to Jay L. and Darlene M. (Olson) Frost. He was named David after President Dwight David Eisenhower who was inaugurated into office on that day. He attended school most of his younger years at Paradise Valley School and enjoyed many close friendships with his classmates throughout his life. When the school closed, he attended Tomah Junior High and graduated from Tomah High School in 1971. He was a lifelong resident of Warrens, WI.
David had a deep faith in the Lord and loved attending Bible Camp as a child. At the age of 14 while at camp, he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Several years later he was baptized at Angelo Bible Church. He was a longtime member of Bible Evangelical Free Church, Tomah. David lived his faith, and his life exemplified those attributes. He loved people and enjoyed helping others, was kind, patient, calm, and steady. He was humorous with a quick wit. He always had a good joke to share and would have others, and himself, laughing to tears.
In 1976, at the age of 24, he met the love of his life, Nancy. Being the slow, patient guy that he was, he waited until May 1977 to ask her out on a date. By July 25, they were engaged and married on October 15, 1977. David was known to move slowly in most everything he did, except this time, before he missed his chance at love. David and Nancy were married 48 years and were blessed with four beautiful children: Angel, Jenni, Levi and Annalisa. His greatest joys in life were found in time spent with his children and grandchildren.
David was gifted in mechanical and engineering abilities. If he couldn’t fix it, nobody could fix it. He was a jack of all trades and worked at a variety of different jobs. He was a self-employed Logger for over 50 years. Upon graduation from high school, he fulfilled a dream of logging in the mountains of Montana. Shortly after, he returned to Warrens, WI and designed and built a log skidder and began his logging/sawmill business. He built a log cabin with logs he harvested. He later built their forever home on property where he and Nancy raised their family. David had a gift of being able to connect with people wherever he went. He had a special connection with the Amish community through his logging business and developed many lasting friendships. He greatly enjoyed the peaceful solitude of nature and was skilled at leaving the forest in better shape than when he started.
Steam engines and attending steam engine shows were his favorite pastime. He treasured spending time with family and making memories together. He also enjoyed farming, raising beef cows, deer hunting, gardening and spending time in nature.
Survivors include his wife Nancy, children, Angelina (Josh) Eagleson, Jennilee (Joe) Lunsford, David Levi (Angie) Frost, and Annalisa (Callin) Russell. Grandchildren AJ, Jadon, Ellie, Keagon, Keyonah, Tayte, Indie, Jovie, Haisley, Ellis, Chet, Quinn, Rushawn, Cairo and Zahara.
